From the Sierra Madres in Nuevo Leon, to the shores of the Rio Santiago
in Nayarit, to the hustle and bustle of Mexico City, the world’s most
populous city, we are hard at work building a brighter future for
Mexico.
With the completion of a number of different large-scale projects,
including the El Cajón dam, our progress in 2007 has been substantial
for our companies and for a more progressive and competitive Mexico.
I
am proud of the fact that our companies are contributing to the
advancement of Mexico’s infrastructure through financing, design and
construction. From schools and hospitals to water treatment
facilities, roads and dams, our projects help raise the living standards
and well-being of the people of Mexico. We are committed to remaining at
the forefront of innovation and international best practices in all that
we do; as environmental stewardship becomes increasingly important, we
are now making a significant push to build and support “green”
infrastructure, which translates into cleaner air and greater long-term
efficiency and cost effectiveness.
2008 brings with it many exciting projects that we believe will continue
to support and develop Mexico’s competitive strengths at a global level.
We will be pleased to continue to share with you the successes we are
achieving in our businesses and their meaning for our country.
Sincerely,
Carlos Hank Rhon
Chairman Grupo Hermes, S.A. de C.V.
