History
CERREY started its operations as Tuborrey in 1955 by manufacturing tubes, valves and tanks.

In 1961, CERREY (Tuborrey) was the result of a merger between Tanques Monterrey, S.A. and Combustion Engineering de Mexico and started to manufacture water tube package boilers.
In 1976, Sociedad Industrial HERMES acquired CERREY.
In 1980, Sociedad Industrial HERMES invited Mitsubishi as a partner.
In 1981, SICOMSA was formed conforming of a joint venture between HERMES and Coen
Co. to design, manufacture and sell combustion equipment for boilers.
In 1989, Babcock & Wilcox de Mexico was acquired to strengthen our leading position in the water tube boiler market in Mexico, as well as to successfully compete in the international market.
In 1990, Hermi Ingenieria was formed to provide integral maintenance services to electric power utilities.

In 1997, Cerrey was restructured in strategic business units in order to improve the service and project management to our customers. the business units are:
